WHO ARE WE?
The Valley Quilters' Guild, Inc. was formed in 1985 to promote quilting in the Matanuska Valley. We currently have a membership of over 200.

We have many different activities we work on. Here is a list of our committees. DMV Quilts, Education, Fair Booth, Fair Demo Booth, Hospitality, Member Liasion, Newsletter, Gaming, Raffle, Retreat Secret Pals, Service Quilts and Quilt Camp.
EDUCATION NEWS: Landscape class with Shirley Heintzman November 14, 10 am - 3 pm; $10 members, $20 non-members

SERVICE COMMITTEE NEWS Service meets at the depot on Thursday- Meeting day from 11-2pm (and usually longer) working on putting tops on and backing together, picking border fabrics etc. This is a time you can come and sew-helping out service or working on your own projects. We would like to sew together backings so quilting will be easier and faster for the quilters.
*****Service Fabric Store **** Store is open on Thursdays before the meeting from 11am til 2pm. It is also open on Open sew Saturdays 11 til 2 (or Later)You can bring a pattern or idea and use "service fabric to complete a quilt or quilt top you give back to ser-vice. *** Birthday Quilts **** A completed donated during your birth month (it can be donated anytime) If you like you can bring a pattern or idea toService Fabric Store for fabric if you need to,
"Bereavement Mini Quilt"for stillborn babies 15" - 24" squares that can be used wrap the baby in in the hospital
